Questions families ask.
If yours is not here, call +1 952 715 9711 — we would rather answer it properly.
Care and services
What kind of care does Oasis provide?
Assisted living in a residential home: help with activities of daily living, medication administration, meals, laundry and housekeeping, 24-hour supervision, and coordination with outside health providers.
Are you a nursing home?
No. Assisted living sits between independent living and skilled nursing. If someone needs continuous skilled nursing care, we will tell you and point you toward the right setting rather than take them on.
Can you support dementia or memory loss?
Yes, for residents who can be supported safely in an unlocked residential home. Staff are trained in routine-building, redirection and de-escalation. If someone is exit-seeking or needs secured memory care, we will say so directly.
Do you handle medications?
Yes. Medications are administered on schedule and documented, refills are coordinated with the pharmacy, and changes are communicated to the prescribing provider and the family.
What about hospice?
We work alongside hospice teams so residents can stay in the home through end of life, where that is the family wish and it can be done safely.
Moving in
How do we start?
Call or send a message. We talk through the situation, then arrange a tour and an assessment. There is no cost to any of that.
How quickly can someone move in?
When a room is open and the assessment is complete, often within a few days. Tell us the hospital or rehab discharge date if there is one.
What should we bring?
Personal clothing, toiletries, medications in their original packaging, medical and insurance documentation, and anything that makes the room feel like home — photographs, a chair, a quilt.
Can we tour before deciding?
Yes, and we recommend it. Tours run Monday to Friday and take about half an hour. Bring whoever needs to be part of the decision.
Cost and paperwork
How much does it cost?
It depends on the room and the level of care in the written plan. We walk through the numbers with you in plain language before anything is signed, and nothing appears on a later invoice that was not discussed.
Do you accept Medical Assistance or waiver programs?
Call us to talk through payment options for the specific situation, including private pay and what documentation each route requires.
Is there a contract?
Yes. Minnesota requires a written assisted living contract setting out services, costs and rights. We go through it with you rather than handing it over to sign.
Families and visits
Can families visit whenever they want?
Yes. This is a home, not a facility with visiting hours. Let us know if you are taking a resident out so medications and meals stay on track.
How will we hear how things are going?
You get a phone call for anything significant — a fall, a health change, a hospital visit — and regular updates otherwise. Call any time and you will speak to someone who has seen your family member today.
Who do we contact with a concern?
Start with the staff on duty or call the main number. If something is not resolved to your satisfaction, ask for the manager. Every resident is also given information on state reporting channels.
Come and see it before you decide.
Tours take about half an hour. You will meet the staff on duty, see an available room, and get straight answers about cost and care levels.
